Chef Sneazwell gets his meat from Sangudo Meats and hopes to bake his own bread someday soon. I think this is him, if not, you got some happy staff, Chef!
Though I was tempted by the epic tower of bacon to be found in their BLT, we ended up picking out different sandwiches instead. Hubby went with the Fried bologna sandwich with house mustard, crispy onions, mayo and lettuce. Partially because it reminded him of pan frying up thinly sliced pieces of garlic sausage to pile into his sandwiches when he was a kid, and partially because... who sells bologna sandwiches?! It tasted like a fried sausage sandwich with the onions adding in a nice sweetness to the savory and the grainy house mustard a nice punch of tang to offset the grease from the pan fried bologna.
The house mustard is available for purchase to bring home if you like
I went with the Montreal smoked meat - smoked brisket, sauerkraut and house mustard on rye, which was a ridiculous amount of shaved smoked brisket piled between two slices of rye bread.
It needed a bit more swiss or sauerkraut (I love loading my ruebens with both), and the brisket could have been smoked a shade longer for more tenderness, but it was a delicious and messy sandwich!
All sandwiches come with potato crisps - super fried and dusted with sea salt, and packaged up in a paper bag, its like a lunch bag treat you always trade your fruit for when you were little heehee!
Wish I worked closer as Friday is Fois Gras Friday - a Viet style banh mi sandwich with braised bacon, mortadella, pickled carrots, cilantro and fois gras! Until next time, nomnomnom!
