Gasthaus Krombach - Traditional brewery pub In the heart of Berlin, Germany!

Fiancé around Christmas time went to Germany with his family and while in Berlin, they hit up Gasthaus Krombach.  The Gasthaus Krombach is located in a prime location of Berlin, near the Kurfürstendamm. They have a  wide range of German cuisine and Berlin specialties and six different varieties of draft beer.... onto the beer, sausage and food!

The decor is a warm and inviting with wood panelling, dark tables and interesting memorabilia to look at adorning the walls.

the BEER

Since they literally school the world on how to make beer, its a must try... The left and middle: Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen Right: Berliner Pilsner

the FOOD
Can't have good beer unaccompanied and you can't have beer without a good sausage in Germany, so we did them justice!  The
Bratwurst Berliner - fried sausage with sauerkraut and homemade mashed potatoes. Nom!

The Berlin Eisein - boiled knuckle of pork with mashed peas, sauerkraut and boiled potatoes was simply done and delicious. Big serving sizes so be prepared!

The Jagerschnitzel - breaded escalope of pork with mushroom sauce and croquettes. Did I mention Germany has amazing dairy cows that just makes their cream sauces to die for?

I think this was the Schweinebraten - roast pork with red cabbage and potato dumplings. Super tasty potato dumplings and you can never go wrong with lots of tasty sauce made with Weihenstephaner dark beer!

And the special of the night was a Roasted duck with Weihenstephaner dark beer sauce and pickled red cabbage. Yum!

Too full for desserts, but had some more beer instead... Gasthaus Krombach is definitely a must try place for beer and food if you're in the area!
