Usually on this blog, you get to read about tasty food, trendy restaurants and adventures in the kitchen... and whatever we feel like waxing eloquent on (or blathering on about hahaha!)  Today... meet Mugstaches. That's right, the Mugstache. Its a mustache... its a fashion statement... its a.... great to sip your favourite hot drink out of :) Bonus - proceeds raised are divvied up between charity and supporting smart young kids... and there's no messy trimming,  or pokey stubble!

The Mugstache is made by Urban Mugs, the brainchild of Junior Achievement (JA) that brings to life the business ideas of young smart youths. 50% of the profits go to supporting Inn From the Cold and the other half goes to future JA student entrepreneurship endeavours.  Giving back to the community, supporting a club that encourages smart business minded kids, and I have a cool Mugstache to sip out of?  That spells win win win!


They make other cute, striking and statement mugs too, but there was something about the Mugstache that drew me. Maybe it invoked nostalgic memories of mustachio-ed musicians like Jimi Hendrix, Freddie Mercury (Queen), and the Beatles to name a few. Or maybe it was celebrities: Tom Shelleck, Hulk Hogan, Burt Reynolds, Borat, Will Ferrell (Anchorman)... and can't forget Johnny Depp wouldn't be the same with his swashbuckling facial hair in Pirates of the Caribbean.  Its an easy peasy way to get your sexy inner 'stach on without all the work of growing facial hair!
