In this location, its 2 levels - lower one is slightly quieter - slightly as there's a bar adjacent to the front door, and the self seating upstairs is much louder, and also features a large bar, with lots of tv's broadcasting sports games - tonight disappointingly wasn't a hockey game night, so baseball was playing. Anyways, got the beer - as they brew some of their own, they have plenty on tap along with fruity beers (River City raspberry wheat ale, Blackfoot blueberry wheat ale and other flavours like pineapple and peach in their Fruit Hog lineup). And I got my wings!! Med-small range, with the drumlettes counting as wings: sweet chili, honey garlic and salt and pepper.
Felt like some real food too, so shared a surprisingly very tasty French onion soup loaded with mozza cheese, rye bread cubes, and piles of caramelized onions in a salty rich broth. Mmmm. No salt lick here!
loaded with lots and lots of ooey gooey globs of melty cheese |
Now the real real food: Brewster's signature burger: moist charbroiled 7oz seasoned prime rib burger, lots of melted aged cheddar, crisp pieces of salty smokehouse bacon, sautéed mushrooms in butter, some lettuce, Bowhouse BBQ sauce all packed in a soft bun and a salty salty pickle. Mmmmmm!!!
Totally. Hit. The. Spot. |
Wings night is every Tues, and while busy, didn't take too long to grab a table upstairs. Heading back for my next wings and beer fix... and a killer burger.
